Kerry to make final foreign trip as U.S. Secretary of State
DUSHANBE, 11.01.2017. /NIAT “Khovar”/. John Kerry will make his final foreign trip as U.S. Secretary of State on January 13-18, 2017. In particular within his trip he will travel to Vietnam, France, the United Kingdom, and Switzerland, according to the statement of U.S. Department of State.
“On January 13, Kerry will travel to Hanoi and Ho Chi Minh City of Vietnam, where he will discuss a range of bilateral and regional issues. The next day Secretary Kerry will arrive in Southern of Vietnam to discuss environmental issues and governance management”, – says statement of U.S. Department of State.
It is reported that on January 15, U.S. Secretary of State Kerry will visit Paris to attend a conference on Middle East peace, hosted by French President Francois Hollande.
“The Secretary will then travel to London, United Kingdom, on January 16, where he will meet with British Foreign Secretary Boris Johnson. They will discuss the situation in Syria and other global and regional issues”, – adds the statement.
Also it is stated that on January 17–18, Secretary Kerry will attend the World Economic Forum (WEF) Annual Meeting in Davos, Switzerland. The WEF is one of the largest annual gatherings of global leaders in politics, business, and civil society.
Recall that Kerry to resign on January 20 together with the administration of President Barack Obama.
