PRESIDENT OF TAJIKISTAN RECEIVED A DELEGATION OF EUROPEAN PARLIAMENT COMMITTEES

            Dushanbe, 9 April. (NIAT «Khovar»). - President Emomali Rahmon received yesterday a delegation of European Parliament committees, which had arrived in Tajikistan, headed by the leader Ono Yuknyavichene. Head of state Emomali Rakhmonov expressed satisfaction with the developing relations of Tajikistan with the European Union, noted that «for Tajikistan to study the experience of the European parliament is an important». According to Ona Yuknivichene, the official visit of President of the Republic of Tajikistan to the city of Brussels the UK, which was held in February this year and held meetings with representatives of the EU as a cooperation of Tajikistan with the EU, in particular, was given new impetus to the partnership with the European Parliament.
           «Following these meetings, in Europe, was to clarify the position of Tajikistan in Central Asia, in particular, on regional security», she said. The meeting also discussed the cooperation of Tajikistan with Europe in the fields of energy, industry, transport, communications, agriculture, regional security, science, education, health care, improving the investment climate and strengthening the democratization of society. During the meeting they discussed preparations for the regular meeting of the EU third and the Ministers of Foreign Affairs of Central Asia, which will be held in Dushanbe on 29-30 May.
