French archeology will read the lecture in CC “Baktria”

Dushanbe, November 9. (NIAT “Khovar”, L.Dubinina). French archeology Anri Pol Frankfor will pass the open lecture on theme “The civilization of the Bronze Age in Central Asia” in Culture Center “Baktria” today, on November 9.


His lecture is based on the results of excavations in Sarazm, which he has spent with Doctor of history science Abdughaffor Razzoqov. Specialist for Central Asia, French archeology many years worked in archeology researches in Tajikistan, Kyrgyzstan, Uzbekistan, Afghanistan, Kazakhstan, China (Sintszyan) and South Sibir. Over 15 books and articles were published by him.

It should be mentioned that, Sarazm is one of the ancient settlements and evidence of the early development of town planning in Central Asia. This is the first archeology city of Tajikistan. In 2010 Sarazm was included in lists of objects of UNESCO World Heritages. From IV to III thousands years BC, Sarazm was the rich center of the developing trade and culture exchange in Central Asia.
