Tajikistan-Germany: cooperation in sphere of geology and natural resources

Dushanbe, June 29. (NIAT “Khovar”).-

The Agreement on scientific- technical cooperation in sphere of geology and natural resources has been signed between the Main Department of the Geology under the Government of the Republic of Tajikistan and Federal Institute of Geology and Natural resources of the Federative Republic of Germany. This agreement has been signed during the official visit of the President of Tajikistan to the Federative Republic of Germany. On the basis of signed agreement the representatives of the Federal Institute of Geology and Natural Resources of Germany have visited Tajikistan and met with the staffs of the Main Department of the Geology under the Government of the Republic of Tajikistan, according to the press-service of the Main Department of the Geology of Tajikistan.

During the visit of German specialists has been conducted the projects’ presentation on theme “Mineral resources for development”. The projects have been presented by the Head of the group of Asia and Ocean Dr. Arne Hoffman-Rote, the Head of the Tajik group Dr. Gurden Franken, a research engineer and coordinator of the project Dr. Guns Gunter.

According to the words of the representatives of the Federal Institute of Geology and Natural resources of German, on realization of this projects to June, 2014 the German side is going to allocate to 1,5 million Euro. (Translated by M.Ismatova)
