Agreements between Tajikistan and Turkmenistan in areas of industry, transport and trade
Dushanbe, August 27. (NIAT "Khovar").-
On 24 August, 2012 within the framework of an official visit of the President of Tajikistan Emomali Rahmon to Turkmenistan a Cooperation Agreement has been signed between the SUE “Tajik Aluminum Company” (TALCO) and Turkmenbashi Oil Refinery, according to which 35 thousand tons of petroleum coke will be allocated to TALCO annually at a preferential price.
Moreover, in accordance with the instructions of heads of both states to relevant structures of the two countries, the railway transit tariffs of Turkmenistan will be simplified for TALCO transportation.
As it was noted, due to cooperation of TALCO with industrial enterprises of Turkmenistan the volume of exportation of goods of Tajikistan to this country has increased by 240% in the first half of current year in comparison with the same period of last year.
NIAT "Khovar" has been reported at the Presidential press-service.
