Trainings for climate change issues in Dushanbe

Dushanbe, November 17. (NIAT “Khovar”, L.Dubinina).- The series of trainings for hydrometeorology for journalists has begun yesterday, in State office for hydrometeorology, by supporting of UNDP in cooperation with PPCR and State office for hydrometeorology. The seminars are organized within the project’s framework for evaluation of potential and raising awareness of Tajikistan on climate change.

“Climate change and Mass media”, “Climate change and gender issues”, “Climate change and poverty”, as well as other issues of climate change will be covered in seminars. The main aim of every trainings are to raise awareness of climate change on global level and nationwide and to define the ways of integration issues of adaptation to climate change in cross-cutting regions, according to the Center of Ecology and Youth.

It is expected that the representatives of corresponding state organs, international organizations and NGOs will participate in trainings.
