November 11 - International Day of energy saving

Dushanbe, November 10. (NIAT "Khovar", L. Dubinin). The International Day of energy saving will mark on November 11. The decision to hold this day was made parties to the International school project on the use of resources and energy (SPARE) at the 2008 annual meeting. Since participation in the project until today some 20 countries, it immediately gave proclaimed energy status of the International Day.

This year the International Day for energy saving will be a variety of activities - from the practical measures for insulation classes to street protests, which will bring together students, educators, environmental organizations, government officials and experts from research institutes.

According to the officers of the environmental organization "Little Earth" this holiday is a great opportunity to talk about energy saving and renewable energy sources. Energy efficiency plays an important role in the preservation of natural resources.

In Tajikistan, the environmental organization "Little Earth" together with local partners in Khujand, Kulob, Qabodiyon and Bartang Valley on this day will organize a series of actions. In particular, the planned thematic lessons in schools and exhibitions devoted to energy saving.
