Solar energy in Tajikistan

Dushanbe, November 15. (NIAT “Khovar”, P.Mahmadbekova). The development issues of the alternative energy (Green Energy) through the using of the solar energy were discussed during the meeting of the first deputy of Finance Minister RT Jamoliddin Nuraliev with the mission of the Asian Development Bank (ADB) led by the Director of the state administration of finance and trade sector of ADB, Debra Kertsman.

During the discussion, representatives of the ADB mission noted that Tajikistan has all necessary natural and climate conditions for the successful realization of the proposed tight project in an amount of 6 million U.S. dollars as the grant from the side of ADB, according to the press-center of Finance Minister.
The project’s aim is providing the village population of Tajikistan to the additional energy on the winter period.
In a course of the tight project discussion, J.Nuraliev had focused the meeting participants’ attention on the technical side of the project, its profitability and expedience of the yearly provision of electricity.

The sides had discussed that it’s necessary the project’s completion, agreement with Government of RT, as well as presenting conclusions and suggestions corresponding Ministries and Agencies in an aim of the successful realization of this project. (Translated by M.Ismatova)
