Implementation of regional project CASA-1000 discussed in Dushanbe
Dushanbe, November 17. (NIAT "Khovar", Ch.Ehrlich). -Regional project CASA-1000 was the main topic at a meeting of energy agencies in Tajikistan, Kyrgyzstan, Afghanistan and Pakistan, held November 15-16 in Dushanbe, according to the Ministry of Energy and Industry of Tajikistan.
According to a source, the participants were discussed issues related to development, investment and regional project CASA-1000.
It is worth mentioning that the First Deputy Minister of Energy and Industry of Tajikistan Pulod Muhiddinov was represented by Tajik side, in his turn pointed out the importance of this project that is now the first phase of the project, including feasibility study. According to a feasibility study, planned to build a high-voltage power line from the territory of Kyrgyzstan and ending with Pakistan, also the project will be implemented over 4 years, and it is scheduled to begin in 2012.
