The meeting of the Tajik Ambassador at the United Nations’ Office in Geneva

Dushanbe, January 26. (NIAT “Khovar”, P.Nazarov).-Resident representative of the Republic of Tajikistan (RT) under the Geneva’s Office of the United Nations Organization and other international organizations in city of Geneva Salohiddin Nasriddinov met with the deputy Executive Secretary of European Economic Commission (EEC) of United Nations Andrei Vasilev.
In a course of the meeting had been conducted discussion and exchange on views related to the issues of preparation to the Fifth Regional Economic Cooperation Conference on Afghanistan (RECCA-V).
Tajik representative S. Nasriddinov also had met with the General Director of the International Organization for Migration (IOM) William Lacy Swing.
Ambassador had given to the IOM senior representative official invitation on behalf of the Tajik Afghan Ministers for Foreign Affairs for the participation to the Conference RECCA-V.
W.L. Swing was informed about the Conference’s issues, related to the planning of the countries’ projects of Central Asian regions with an aim of economic reconstruction on Afghanistan, including about the migration thematic.
In his turn, General Director of IOM had paid special attention to the cooperation’s issues of this Organization with the migration organs in Tajikistan and the situation with Afghan migrants in country, according to the Department of Information, Press, Analysis and Foreign Policy Planning of Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
