The meeting of Tajik Ambassador at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Russian Federation

Dushanbe, February 2. (NIAT “Khovar”).Lately on the request of Tajik side was held a joint meeting of the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Republic of Tajikistan in Russian Federation A. Dostiev and Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Islamic Republic of Afghanistan in Russian Federation A. Karzay with Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of Russian Federation I. Morgulov.
As it was reported to NIAT “Khovar”, at the Tajik Embassy in Russian Federation, the purpose of this meeting was in handing over invitation on behalf of the Ministers of Foreign Affairs of Tajikistan H. Zarifi and Afghanistan Z. Rasul, addressed to the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Russian Federation S. Lavrov for participation in the Fifth Regional Economic Cooperation Conference on Afghanistan (RECCA V).
The Tajik Ambassador had informed Minister’s deputy that on March 26-27 of current year holding of the Fifth International Regional Economic Cooperation Conference on Afghanistan scheduled at the Ministerial level (Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Economy), where invited representatives of more than 70 countries in Dushanbe.
This conference is organized by the Government of Tajikistan chaired by the Ministries of Foreign Affairs of Tajikistan and Afghanistan on developing ways of efficient organization of economic cooperation in the development of economic integration in the region for the prosperity and development of the Islamic Republic of Afghanistan in the region as a whole. In the conference will be addressed issues of raising economy of region through the development of infrastructures, by developing human reserves (through the prism of education and training) and support of economic projects.
At the same time, in the framework of International Conference will be held business-forum, including Exhibition of economic achievements, moreover scientific and business meetings on the theme “Afghanistan and prospects of Regional economic cooperation” will take place.
At the end of the meeting, the ambassadors extended an invitation to Russian side and expressed hope for private participation of Minister of Foreign Affairs of Russian Federation S. Lavrov in the abovementioned conference.
For his part, I. Margulov had expressed thanks for the honor and inviting for participation to conference and assured the ambassadors that because of the interest Russian Federation in stability of Afghanistan and in all regions, his country will actively participate in the work of conference in most high level.
