The realization of projects of hydropower station discussed in Pakistan

Dushanbe, February 17. (NIAT “Khovar”).-On February 14, Ambassador of Tajikistan in Islamic Republic of Pakistan Zubaidullo Zubaidov met with the Minister of Water Resources and Energy of Pakistan, Co-Chairman of Tajik-Pakistani interstate Commission for Trade-Economic and Scientific-Technical Cooperation Said Navid Qamar.
During the meeting there was noted, that in 2011 two countries succeeded in conducting a number of important events for realization of agreements reached earlier.
Special attention also was paid to realization of hydro power projects.
The sides underlined, that upcoming Fifth Regional Economic Cooperation Conference on Afghanistan (March 26-27, 2012, Dushanbe) can become more important stage to stabilize the situation and peace in Afghanistan, in which especially both countries, Tajikistan and Pakistan, bordering with Afghanistan, are interested. Said Navid Qamar expressed interest and readiness to participation in Conference.
The sides agreed to arrangement that to the end of 2012 in Islamabad will be conducted the next session of joint interstate Commission between Tajikistan and Pakistan for trade-economic and scientific-technical cooperation. (Translated by M.Ismatova)
