Meeting with Karim Aga Khan IV
On April 4, the President of the country Emomali Rahmon received the Leader of Ismailites of the world Karim Aga Khan IV.
The issues related to life of Ismailites of Tajikistan, current state and prospects of enhancement of cooperation with Aga Khan Development Network have been considered at the meeting.
Karim Aga Khan IV expressed his appreciation to Head of State Emomali Rahmon over an official registration of Cultural Ismailite Centre in Dushanbe and highlighted this act as an evidence of freedom of religion and tolerance in Tajikistan.
The sides voiced their satisfaction from the results and substance of long-term cooperation, including regarding the attraction of investment for numerous projects of Tajikistan in spheres of education, healthcare, social protection of population, culture, irrigation, energy and construction of bridges and automobile roads, as well as considered it necessary to deepen the mutually advantageous relations.
