UN Special Rapporteur to visit Tajikistan
Dushanbe, May 24. (NIAT “Khovar” .-)
Special Rapporteur on issues of human rights on the highest attainable standard of physical and psychological health Anand Grover at the invitation of Tajikistan Government will pay visit to Tajikistan on May 24 to June 1, according to the centre of UN news.
Visit’s aim is to attract the government, partners for development and civil society in solution of financial difficulties, inherent in Tajikistan’s health system.
It is expected that A.Gover will discuss issues related with psychological health and TB treatment, as well to attract the attention to the problem of social stigma and discrimination.
Special Rapporteur is an independent expert, who appoints the Council on human rights for supporting of countries and other partners in the activity’s framework on strengthening and protection of every human rights at the highest attainable level of physical and psychological health.
