Meeting of Foreign Ministers of Tajikistan and Iran

Dushanbe, June 18. (NIAT “Khovar”).-

Tajik Foreign Minister Hamrokhon Zarifi has met with Foreign Minister of the Islamic Republic of Iran Ali Akbar Salehi, in Kabul, last week.

The sides have discussed the development issues of bilateral cooperation, as well as continuation of active trade-economic interaction of Tajikistan, Afghanistan and Iran with partner’s involvement on region and international financial institutions for project’s speedy implementation of wide-regional significance. There was stressed the importance of the realization of regional projects with Afghanistan involvement, including the construction of infrastructural objects between Tajikistan and Iran through the Afghanistan territory.

Moreover, Foreign Ministers paid attention to Kabul Conference of the Foreign Ministers of “Heart of Asia” countries, which results will became welfare favor on peace and stability in Afghanistan and will correspond to social-economic development in this country, the Department of Information, Press, Analysis and Foreign Policy Planning of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Tajikistan reported.
