G. Meeks: “Tajikistan needs jobs”

Dushanbe, July 10. (NIAT “Khovar”).-

The press-conference on results of the meeting of Tajik President Emomali Rahmon with delegation of US Congress headed by the member of House of representatives Dan Burton, has been held in Dushanbe, on July 5.

“Surely we will convey the words of the President of Tajikistan to Congress and to the Government of the United States of America, which will contribute to further development of our relations. Tajikistan plays an important role in ensuring of regional security in Central Asia, and we hope that our cooperation will be strengthened in the future”,- has noted Dan Burton.

In the course of the meeting have been discussed issues of Tajikistan accession to the World Trade Organization, Tajikistan economic development, which are important for both countries.

“I want to note, that the wish of the people of USA and Tajikistan is coincided. Tajikistan needs jobs, it is necessary to eliminate the poverty, put an end to drug trafficking. For achievement of the desired result, people must gather and discuss these questions”,-noted member of USA Houses of representative of Congress Gregory Meeks.

As well he stressed, that Tajik youth with a goal of study must visit USA, and American youth must visit Tajikistan, because the future of two countries demands from the young generation. (Translated by M.Ismatova)
