Meeting of Tajik Deputies with Deputy of European Parliament

Dushanbe, July 13. (NIAT “Khovar”).-

In the framework of visit to Brussels deputies of Majlisi namoyandagon (Lower Chamber of Parliament) of Majlisi Oli of the Republic of Tajikistan Giyoev Saifullo, Mahmudov Nasrullo, Barakatullo Atokhoja and Inomov Abduzaffar have met with Deputy of European Parliament Struan Stevenson on July 11.

During the meeting issues of current state and prospects of development of bilateral relations between Majlisi namoyandagon Majlisi Oli of the Republic of Tajikistan and European Parliament have been discussed.

Tajik Deputies expressed satisfaction over the level of effective cooperation between Tajikistan and European Union parliaments. They stressed an important role of European Union Parliament’s member Struan Stevenson in forming of positive image of Tajikistan in center of European Union and expressed gratitude for effort in development of mutually beneficial bilateral inter-parliamentary relations and support in implementation of establishment projects of Tajikistan.

S. Stevenson expressed confidence that in further he will make a worthy contribution in development of relations between European Parliament and Majlisi namoyandagon Majlisi Oli of the Republic of Tajikistan, in forming of positive opinion of European community in relation to Tajikistan achievements and implementation of constructive programs, particularly in sphere of hydropower.
