S. Stevenson has met with representatives of Mass media

Dushanbe, July 19. (NIAT “Khovar”).-

Due to visit’s results of group of members of European Parliament in Tajikistan, the Head of the group of the European Parliament members Struan Stevenson has given a press-conference for local and foreign Mass media.

During four day visit in Tajikistan European parliamentarians held a number of important and informative meetings, in particular with the Director of the Drug Control Agency under the President of the Republic of Tajikistan Rustam Nazarov, who has informed the delegation with situation of fight with illegal drug trafficking.

European parliament’s Deputies have visited the Academy of Science of Tajikistan, where they have held presentation in sphere of environment and get acquaintance with seismology to store uranium storage in Tajikistan.

“We have held talk with Tajik President Emomali Rahmon, during of which we discussed issues of Tajikistan’s development, particularly in geopolitical context for the next steps of relation between Tajikistan and European Union. As well we have had opportunity to meet with the Commander of the Frontier SCNS Sheralisho Mirzoev and to familiarize with the border situation”,- has noted S. Stevenson. (Translated by M.Ismatova)
