Congratulatory message of the Tajikistan Foreign Minister to Executive Secretary of ESCAP

Dushanbe, August 6. (NIAT “Khovar”).-

Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Tajikistan Mr. Hamrokhon Zarifi has sent a congratulatory message to the Under-Secretary-General of the United Nations and Executive Secretary of ESCAP Ms. Noeleen Heyzer on the occasion of the 20th anniversary of cooperation of the Republic of Tajikistan and ESCAP, which reads in part:

“I have the honor to congratulate You and the United Nations Economic and Social Commission for Asia and the Pacific on the 20th anniversary of cooperation of the Republic of Tajikistan and ESCAP.

With great pleasure I remember our meeting in March this year in Dushanbe on the sidelines of the Fifth Regional Economic Cooperation Conference on Afghanistan (RECCA-V). As discussed, Tajikistan hopes to intensify the implementation of bilateral and multilateral projects aimed at streghtening of social and economic development at the national and regional levels in cooperation with ESCAP.
