E. Rahmon to visit Turkmenistan on an official visit

Dushanbe, August 14. (NIAT “Khovar”).-

On August 10, the President Emomali Rahmon has received the Credentials of the new Ambassador of Turkmenistan to the Republic of Tajikistan.

New Turkmen Ambassador to the Republic of Tajikistan on the results of the meeting with Tajik President noted that “At the meeting with the President of Tajikistan have been discussed issues of current cooperation of two countries, as well as have been defined issues which must be considered during an official visit of Tajikistan President to Turkmenistan”. By her words in the margins of this visit to be conducted from August 23 to 24 of current year, is expected the signing of a number of documents on cooperation, which must play the defining role in further development and strengthening of mutually beneficial relations between Tajikistan and Turkmenistan. As well she added that we have already established the strengthening legal and political base of bilateral relations of our countries, which play the main role in development of various spheres of two countries.

New Turkmen Ambassador appreciated the trade cooperation on results of the latest years. By her words during 7 months of current year the level of goods turnover between the two countries has formed more than 18 million US dollars, from which over 18% has formed an import of oil products, cement, vegetable oil and other production from Turkmenistan to Tajikistan.

Turkmen diplomat expressed interest in cooperation development in sphere of hydropower, transport and communication.

At the result of the briefing with journalists, Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary Ambassador of the Republic of Turkmenistan to Tajikistan appreciated the tradition, culture and wonderful nature of Tajikistan, at the same time expressed confidence that during her activity as an Ambassador will make every effort for further strengthening and development of relations between Tajikistan and Turkmenistan.
