E. Rahmon congratulated Vietnamese President on the 20th anniversary of establishment of diplomatic relations

The President of the Republic of Tajikistan Emomali Rahmon addressed to the President of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam Truong Tan Sang a congratulatory message on the occasion of the 20th anniversary since the establishment of diplomatic relations between Tajikistan and Vietnam, which reads in part:

“I am glad to note that over the period after this remarkable event for our countries due to efforts of the sides traditional Tajik-Vietnamese relations of friendship and mutually beneficial cooperation have gained further development for the good of both countries and peoples.

I am convinced that relying on the positive experience of the past years and on the basis of provisions of fundamental document of our interaction – Agreement about the principals of interstate relations from 1999, we can attach more dynamism to Tajik-Vietnamese cooperation in its various forms.

Availing this pleasant occasion, I sincerely wish you, Mr. President, good health, welfare and new successes, and the friendly people of Vietnam – peace, stability and prosperity”.
