E.Rahmon has received the Interior Minister and General Chairman of National Security of Afghanistan

Dushanbe, July 27. (NIAT “Khovar”).-

On July 26, the President of the country Emomali Rahmon received the Interior Minister of the Islamic Republic of Afghanistan Bismillohkhon Muhammadi and the General Chairman of National Security of Afghanistan Rahmatullo Nabil, who have visited Tajikistan with an authoritative delegation of leadership of power structures of their country.

During the meeting much attention has been paid to strengthening protection of borders between the two countries in the mountainous regions of Badakhshon, including the lands adjacent to Khorugh city of Tajikistan.

The leaders of security and military structures of Afghanistan expressed confidence that they will take urgent and efficient actions for strengthening protection of joint border from their part and prevention of violation of borders by the armed groups and drug smugglers. It was also informed that a group of Afghan criminals and smugglers which cooperated with criminals situated in Khorugh, has already been detained. The cooperation of relevant structures of both countries is effectively continued in both sides of the frontier.
