Meeting of E.Rahmon with deputies of OSCE Parliamentary Assembly

Dushanbe, August 28. (NIAT “Khovar”).-

Today the President of the country Emomali Rahmon has received a group of deputies of the Parliamentary Assembly of the Organization for Security and Cooperation in Europe (OSCE) headed by Akhtar Chaudhry.

The issues of cooperation of Tajikistan with the OSCE and Norway have been reviewed at the meeting.

It was expressed satisfaction over the cooperation of Tajikistan and the OSCE, which is conducted mainly in three dimensions – political and security, economic and ecological, and humanitarian.

Akhtar Chaudhry stated that the OSCE will further increase its support to Tajikistan in strengthening regional security and stability, border protection with Afghanistan. It was stressed that Tajikistan will not feel itself alone in its lengthy border with this country after the 2014, namely following the withdrawal of International Security Assistance Forces from Afghanistan.

There was also held an exchange of opinions on the development of bilateral relations between Tajikistan and Norway.
