TAJIK CUSTOMS OFFICIALS HAVE STARTED USING NEW SOFTWARE
Dushanbe, August 10. (NIAT "Khovar", P.Nazarov). - The official ceremony of start of using the new software package for automated Help Desk system of the Customs Service of Tajikistan was held on August 8.
The ceremony was attended by Charge d'Affaires of the Embassy of the United States Sarah Penhyun and first deputy chairman of the Customs Service of Tajikistan Nemat Rahmatov.
As NIAT "Khovar" has learned at the U.S. Embassy in Tajikistan, the software has been developed with the assistance of the Regional Project on Trade Liberalization and Customs of the U.S. Agency for International Development (USAID / RTLC). Help Desk is a system that provides support for the Unified Automated Information System of the Customs Service, aimed at the automation of customs processes in order to save time and resources for entrepreneurs and customs officers.
In her speech, Sarah Penhyun said: "Effective use of an automated system of the Customs Service will facilitate trade in Tajikistan, and thereby improve economic activity, as well as the fight against corruption."
