Drug Control Agency’s Director met with the Norwegian Ambassador to Tajikistan
Dushanbe, December 15. (NIAT “Khovar”, L.Eshonqulova).-The meeting of the Director of Drug Control Agency (DCA) under the President of the Republic of Tajikistan Rustam Nazarov with the Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary Ambassador of Norway Dag Malmer Khalvorsen was held in Dushanbe, on December 13.
In a course of the meeting which has been organized at the initiative of the Norwegian side, Dag Malmer Khalvorsen was interested about the present narcotic situation in Tajikistan and in Islamic Republic of Afghanistan, according to the press-center of DCA.
DCA Director highly evaluated the support of the Norway Government in fight with narcotics and acquainted the Ambassador with the drug situation in region, DCA activity and the other components of law enforcement organs.
During the meeting the sides have told a number of suggestions for further cooperation within the framework of OSCE, as well as the individual directions’ activities with the Norwegian Government. (Translated by M.Ismatova)
