Expansion of military cooperation between Tajikistan and Pakistan

Dushanbe, December 23. (NIAT "Khovar", A.Siddiqov). –In December 22, 2011, the Tajik Defense Minister Sherali Khairulloev held a talk with Heads of Headquarters Council of Armed Forces of the Islamic Republic of Pakistan Khalid Shameem Wynne, who is arrived yesterday with official visit to the Republic of Tajikistan.

In the course of the talks, Sherali Khairulloev and Khalid Shameem Wynne have discussed the issues related to situation of Central Asian Region, current situation of Afghanistan and Armed Forces of the republic, as well as the two sides expressed satisfaction over the level of the military cooperation of both countries and stated confidence for its further fruitful development, the Press Secretary of Defense Ministry of the Republic Faridun Mahmadaliev told NIAT “Khovar”.

Moreover, the sides exchanged views on a wide range of issues of military-technical cooperation, economic, military cadres preparations, training and information exchange in order to joint struggle against terrorism and other issues regarding expansion of further military ties.
