Meeting of DCA Director with Special Representative of EU on CA
Dushanbe, July 25. (NIAT “Khovar)-.”
The meeting of the Director of the Drug Control Agency (DCA) Rustam Nazarov with newly appointed Special Representative of the European Union on Central Asia Patricia Flor and her predecessor Pier Morel has been held in Dushanbe, on July 23.
According to the information of DCA, DCA Director informed P. Flor about the existing narcotic situation in Tajikistan, Afghanistan, as well as in Central Asian region and about the organization of interaction of law enforcement organs and force structures of the republic with colleagues from neighbor countries of the region in issue of fight with illegal drug trafficking.
During the meeting have been discussed issues of bilateral and regional cooperation in struggle with terrorism and extremism, as well as development prospects of cooperation after the withdrawal of NATO troops from the Islamic Republic of Afghanistan in 2014.
At the meeting the sides expressed satisfaction over the permanent development of cooperation between DCA and European Union in fight against illegal drug trafficking. (Translated by M.Ismatova)
