Badakhshan’s population voluntarily surrendered a particularly large shipment of weaponsDushanbe, July 31. (NIAT “Khovar”).-

Dozens of Kalashnikov assault rifles, machine guns, grenade launchers, grenades, ammunition, military camouflage, ammunition of various calibers and other heavy weapons, and drugs were voluntarily surrendered to law enforcement agencies from carrying out explanatory work among the population of Badakhshan on the eve of July 30.

As the official website of the Ministry of Internal Affairs (MIA) of Tajikistan reports, at the present time the situation is calm in Badakhshan region, the population is engaged in daily activities.

In this regard MIA of Tajikistan, TIM appeals to people of Badakhshan, in particular to young people in Khorog, which were knocked out of the way and unconsciously have taken up arms against government forces to surrender their weapons, thereby ensuring the peace and tranquility in the region and free themselves from liability.
