Regional project on trade liberalization completed its work
Dushanbe, August 11. (NIAT "Khovar", Ch.Ehrlich). - A regional project on trade liberalization and customs reform completed its work in Tajikistan. The Khovar correspondent was informed at the USAID mission in Tajikistan. According to the source the project was aimed at strengthening economic growth and increase competition by improving conditions for international and cross-border trade and transit.
The project, first of all, contributed Tajikistan to develop and implement trade policies and practices that meet the WTO requirements. Moreover, it has helped to improve and simplify customs procedures to reduce costs and increase predictability of transit transport systems to import and export, facilitated the exchange of data and access to information.
For the project has been spent over U.S. $ 5 million.
