Border guards of RT and IRA taught the basics of border control
Dushanbe, September 15. (NIAT "Khovar", L.Eshonqulova).
The U.S. Embassy has completed training of 15 officers of the Border Service in Tajikistan and Afghanistan on the border and immigration controls.
According to the press service of the embassy, this course was conducted by the International Organization for Migration, on the support of Khorugh’s training center funded by the Department of Narcotics Control and Law Enforcement (Division of INL) U.S. State Department. The training was held in Khorugh training center, which was attended by 10 members of the Afghan Border Police and the five Border Patrol agents in Tajikistan.
"Topics of the training included learning the basics of border controls, such as: joint cooperation, visa policy, counterfeit documents and trafficking, and terrorism. Knowledge and skills acquired during the training, have been certified and awarded to participants of the training at the closing ceremony of the August 29 ", - said the source.
According to one of the participants in the training, Afghan Border Police officer, this kind of training is very useful, in particular, to share experiences with the Tajik border guards in strengthening the capacity and functionality of border control along the Tajik-Afghan border.
