JOURNALISTS OF TAJIKISTAN HAVE DISCUSSED FREEDOM OF TAJIK PRESS

            Dushanbe, December, 25th. (Lyudmila Dubinina, Tojiddin Rizvon, the NIAT "Khovar"). — A round table was held in the Tajik journalists Union (TJU) located In Dushanbe. Representatives of mass-media and teachers of journalism have discussed one of the important questions, concerning printing editions, their economic independence, as major factor of freedom of the press.  Organized by the Dushanbe weekly "Jomea" and TJU.           According to chief editor of the newspaper «Jomea» Sharifzoda Qironshoh, participants of the round table raised the most actual problem for today. The attention that services of delivery of newspapers and magazines have strongly raised in price has been paid; it is one of problems because of what readers cannot buy periodicals. The offer on necessity of creation of an alternative delivery service of newspapers and the correspondence has made. Other, not less important problem — unprofitability of the press in connection with shortage of professional managers on advertising.
