RCST CELEBRATED ITS 81 ANNIVERSATY

            Dushanbe, December, 24th. (Farangis Rakhimova, Olga Saprykina, the NIAT "Khovar"). — The day before, on December, 23rd, the Red Crescent Society of Tajikistan (RCST) celebrated its 81 year. Now the RCST has more than 6 thousand members and more than 10 thousand volunteers throughout all the country. About it the NIAT "Khovar" was informed in the office of RCST.           "It is an unique organization having 69 city and regional branches, and about 1 thousand primary structures in all villages and country regions, carrying out the main tasks on simplification of sufferings and rendering assistance to needed persons, — was noticed in the speech of RCST Chief secretary Zafar Muhabbatov on the occasion of this date. — RCST as the integral component of the International Movement of the Red Cross and Red Crescent, during the various periods of its history assisted to all needy. RCST employees provide access of the population of villages to pure potable water, train in rendering of the first pre-medical assistance, reaction at extreme situations, preventive HIV/ADS and tuberculosis maintenance, distribute medicines, help aged lonely people, and the most important, thanks to programs, help to reduce poverty among population".
