Dushanbe, December, 11th. (Lutphiya Eshonqulova, Tojiddin Rizvon, the NIAT "Khovar"). — Yesterday in the Strategic Researches Center (SRC) under the presidenmt of the republic of Tajikistan the report presentation on research « Children's traffic in Tajikistan» has taken place. The national research group into which structure enter deputy SRC director S. Safarov, the assistant to the head of representation of UNICEF in Tajikistan Ruth Leano has taken part in presentation, chiefs of departments SRC A. Shamolov and Z. Madamindjonova. Participants have given the report on research carrying out on the children's traffic in Tajikistan.            Results of research have shown, that in Tajikistan regular data on victims of the children's traffic and those data which have already been collected for last years did not gather, were classified as confidential, complicating access to the information. During research governmental officials extremely reluctantly shared the information or statistical data on the children's traffic. From fear of consequences of the "loud" statement their large part denied presence of cases of the children's traffic.           Some state data have been received from the State Office of Public Prosecutor. It has appeared that by 2003 for 2005 91 crimes, concerning a human traffic have been registered. For this period presumably there were no the persons condemned for a human traffic.            In Z. Madaminjonova's report has noticed, that set of factors in Tajikistan subject children to risk, and vulnerable children — to the traffic. Some of the most obvious factors are the abject poverty, a high rate of unemployment, disintegration of a family and a problem in an education system. As she said, in the US State department report for 2007 it is supposed, that Tajik children deliver through Afghanistan to Pakistan and Iran with a view of operation in commercial sex and enslavement.            Kazakhstan and Kyrgyzstan are defined as the countries of appointment for Tajikistanis with a view of forced labor in agriculture, as house servants and Kazakhstan serves as the transit country for the traffic of Tajikistanis to Russia and the United Arab Emirates with a view of labor and sexual slavery.
