EGYPT TO TRAIN TAJIK DIPLOMATS

            Dushanbe, January, 28th. (Nargis Boyakhmedova, Olga Saptykina, the NIAT "Khovar"). — On January 27, 2009 the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Tajikistan Mr. Hamrokhon Zarifi has met with the Minister of international cooperation of the Arab Republic of Egypt Fayza Aboul Naga.            During the meeting the two sides have stressed a necessity to expand mutually advantageous cooperation in the sphere of energy, medicine and agriculture. They have also touched issues upon further cooperation, especially in the sphere of medicine to set up a pharmaceutical joint venture and as well as possibility of Egypt to participate in realization of hydro energy projects in Tajikistan. The sides emphasized that they should promote opening direct flight between the two countries in order to develop bilateral relations.            Minister of international cooperation of the Arab Republic of Egypt highly appreciated work results of the First Intergovernmental Tajikistan-Egyptian Joint Commission on economic, technical and scientific cooperation.            The Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Tajikistan Hamrokhon Zarifi focused on opening of Egyptian Embassy in Tajikistan which could contribute to resolve Afghan problem by using Egyptian peacekeeping experience.            At the same time, both sides discussed the issue regarding training of Tajik specialists in the training courses which were organized by the Egyptian Technical Fund for Cooperation with CIS countries. Egyptian side has expressed its readiness to promote and train interpreters and specialists in diplomacy.           About it the NIAT "Khovar" was informed in the MFA of RT.
