FRONTIER GUARDS OF TAJIKISTAN HAVE DETAINED MORE THAN THOUSAND INFRINGERS OF BORDER WITHIN A YEAR

         Dushanbe, January, 9th. (Anvarbek Siddikov, Tojiddin Rizvon, the NIAT "Khovar"). — In Central administrative board of Frontier troops of the State committee of national security of the Republic of Tajikistan Military council session was held which have taken part Chairman State Committee of National Security RТ (SCNS) Khairiddin Abdurahimov, chiefs of independent services and divisions, commanders of boundary groups. As it was informed to the Khovar correspondent in the press centre of Central administrative board of Frontier troops (SCNS), at the session have been summed up official -fighting activity of Central administrative board of Frontier troops for 2008 and the further problems for 2009 are defined. It has been underlined, that for the last year the staff of Central administrative board of Frontier troops had been did certain work on frontier protection, the admission of physical persons and vehicles, on struggle against illegal traffic of narcotic substances.         Forces of frontier guards in 2008 from illegal drug traffic had been withdrew more than 900 kg of narcotic substances, is destroyed more than 300 thousand bushes of a wild-growing hemp, 160 facts of infringement of state border are fixed, 1263 infringers of state border are detained. Besides, for the mentioned period 17 cases war conflict on the Tajik-Afghani border have been fixed, 21 drug courier is detained, 10 infringers of state border are destroyed. Frontier guards together with employees of power structures of the republic for the similar period had been spent 79 special operations, 36 units of fire-arms have been withdrawn.          At the same time, at the session lacks of activity of Central administrative board of Frontier troops have been discussed and measures on their further elimination are defined. To a management of Central administrative board of Frontier troops and commanders of boundary group's concrete commissions under the decision of the planned actions for 2009 have been given.
