INHABITANTS OF TAJIKISTAN WILL BE PAY FOR THE CONSUMED GAS BY NEW TARIFFS

         Dushanbe, January, 13th. (Nargis Boyahmedova, Timur Bandishoev, Shoim Mallaev, the NIAT «Khovar»). — In Tajikistan tariffs for natural gas are increased. For 1 thousand cubic meters cost of gas for the consumers connected to city and into settlement gas distribution to networks will make 1 thousand 59 somoni 97 dirams. About it the NIAT «Khovar» have informed in the ministry of economic development and trade RT. As have informed the NIAT «Khovar» in State Unitary Enterprise "Tojikgas", increase of tariffs for natural gas, first of all is connected with increase of the price for the Uzbek gas. We shall remind in the end of December Tajikistan and Uzbekistan have signed the contract according to which Tajikistan in current to year will buy from a neighboring country 530 million cubic meters of gas at the price of 240 US dollars for one thousand cubic meters.   According to a source in MEDT RT in 2008 Tajikistan bought gas from the neighbor Uzbekistan at the price of 145 US dollars for one thousand cubic meters. Meanwhile, for State Unitary Enterprise "Talko", Joint-Stock Company "Tojikazot", State Unitary Enterprise "Tojiksement" and thermal power station's Dushanbe, the price for «blue fuel» will make 983,24 somoni for 1 thousand cubic meters. In 2008 they paid 647 somoni for one thousand cubic meters.
