MINISTRY OF FINANCE RT: «KAZAKHSTAN HAS NO PUBLIC DEBT TO TAJIKISTAN»
Dushanbe, January, 13th. (Pokiza Mahmadbekova, Tojiddin Rizvon, the NIAT "Khovar"). — Kazakhstan has no public debt to Tajikistan. It was noted in a special statement extended by Ministry of Finance RT. Earlier a number of mass-media has published an articles that Kazakhstan will put to Tajikistan grain and petroleum products for the sum of 12 million US dollars of the account of repayment of a public debt in front of Tajikistan. In the statement Finance Ministry RT notices, that aforementioned 12 million US dollars are the sum of debts of the power companies of Republic Kazakhstan for delivery of the electric power from Tajikistan in the nineties. «Now assignees under these obligations from the Kazakhstan party are PGP« NES Kazakhstan energy », with Tajikistan's — OJSC «Barqi Tojik». Thus, it is promissory notes between two independent managing subjects which cannot be carried to a public debt category», — it is spoken in the statement.
