(Nargis Boyakhmedova, Olga Saprykina, the NIAT "Khovar"). — "Because of suspension on import of Turkmen electric power to Tajikistan through territory of Uzbekistan and with a view to meet needs of population the Nurek and Kayrakkum HYDROELECTRIC POWER STATIONS consume daily inflowing water up to the level of 50 sm", Minister for Foreign Affairs of RТ Hamrohon Zarifi informed about it at the final press conference yesterday. As he said, in result of it this year countries of the Central Asia can face water scarcity. "Compelled use of great volume of water in basins can cause lack of water in the lower reaches countries", noticed the minister.
