NATIONAL MUSEUM AFTER K.BEHZOD HAS FOUND E TREASURE OF KUSHANIS COINS
Dushanbe, January, 9th. (Lutphiya Eshonqulova, Tojiddin Rizvon, the NIAT "Khovar"). — 1225 historical finds were got in 2008 by the National museum after K.Behzod. These figures in 3 times exceed indicators of 2007. The director of the museum A.Sharipov has informed the Khovar News Agency. The collection of finds of 2008 consists of manuscripts, national needle case, fixtures, pottery, antique jugs, copper and bronze coins. The most valuable among these exhibits is «the Treasure of Kushanis coins» which consists of 666 copper coins. It concerns to 1-3 centuries and it is considered the greatest treasure of times of reign kushanis in Central Asia. On kings coins of that period of Whim Taktu, Wim Kadfiz, Kanish Khuvish, and Vasudev are represented. For the history the museum has got for the first time a coin with the image of king Ismoil Somoni, a ceramic figurine with the image of the tsarina sitting on a throne, and very interesting stone case for antimony, in the form of a bird.
