PRESIDENT OF TAJIKISTAN HELD TELEPHONE TALK WITH PRESIDENT OF AFGHANISTAN
Dushanbe, January, 4th. (Olga Saprykina, the NIAT "Khovar"). — On January, 1st the President of the Republic of Tajikistan Emomali Rahmon held telephone talk with the President of Islamic Republic of Afghanistan Hamid Karzai. In course of talk questions of the Tajik-Afghani cooperation have been discussed. It was spoken also about transit of the humanitarian assistance in Afghanistan on roads and bridges located on the territory of Tajikistan, transportation of foodstuff and building materials in this neighboring country, cooperation in security issues and combat against drugs, and also about other questions connected with strengthening and expansion of bilateral cooperation. The parties have supported joint efforts to confront the current world economic and financial crisis. Heads of two states have agreed in the nearest future to exchange official visits for the objective to discuss and to solve questions of bilateral cooperation. In connection with it heads of two states gave instructions and orders to the Ministries for Foreign Affairs of the countries concerning working out of necessary documents on questions brought for discussion. Telephone talk was held in atmosphere of friendship and mutual understanding, characteristic for contacts of heads of two friendly and brotherly states. About it the NIAT "Khovar" was informed in the press-service of the President of the Republic of Tajikistan.
