“SALAFIYA” IN TAJIKISTAN IS OUT OF THE LAW
Dushanbe, January, 9th. (Mavdjuda Davlatzoda, Olga Saprykina, the NIAT "Khovar"). — Activity of religious sect "Salafiya" on the territory of Tajikistan was admitted as illegal. About it the NIAT "Khovar" was informed in the Supreme Court of the republic. Such verdict was accepted by the Supreme Court of the country on the basis of the claim of the State Office of Public Prosecutor of RT. "The given step is motivated by the Tajik authorities as protection of the constitutional system, strengthening of national security of the country and kindling prevention of incitement interdenominational discord", noted a source of information. Also as a part of the decision the ban is imposed for import and distribution of the religious literature and other materials propagandizing ideas of "Salafiya".
