TAJIKISTAN SUGGESTED GENASSAMBLEE OF THE UNITED NATIONS DISCUSSING ENERGY EFFICIENCY USE ISSUES
Dushanbe, January, 4th. (Farangis Rakhimova, Olga Saprykina, the NIAT "Khovar"). — 18 member states of the United Nations including Tajikistan, addressed to the Chairman of General Assembly with the request to discuss questions of household energy efficiency and renewable energy use, and also problems of new and renewed energy sources. They suggest holding thematic discussions of these important power and environmental problems during 63rd session of the Assembly. In the letter it was noticed, that energy conservation and new and renewed energy sources play a key role in achievement of the development aims and problem solution of change of climate. As the NIAT "Khovar" was informed in the news centre of the United Nations, authors of the initiative underline that the General Assembly as the main debatable and coordination body of the United Nations, can assist for expansion of awareness, exchange of best practices and assistance to the international discussions devoted to the decision of these problems.
