JAPAN PROVIDES MUCH NEEDED FOOD ASSISTANCE TO TAJIKISTAN
Dushanbe, February, 3rd. (Nargis Boyakhmedova, Olga Saprykina, the NIAT "Khovar"). — Japan allocated US$ 4.7 million to Tajikistan. This sum will be used to purchase some 6,000 metric tonnes of wheat flour and 1,200 metric tonnes of pulses for distribution to food-insecure people in Tajikistan through the World Food Programme activities in the country. As the NIAT "Khovar" was informed in the office of World Food Programme. Yesterday the agreement was signed for the provision of food commodities to the most vulnerable people in Tajikistan. Document was signed by Japan International Cooperation Agency (JICA) and World Food Programme (WFP).
