MEETING OF E. RAHMON WITH D. MEDVEDEV

           Dushanbe, February, 5th. (Olga Saprykina, the NIAT "Khovar"). — The President of the Republic of Tajikistan Emomali Rahmon took part and acted at the extraordinary meetings of the Council of Collective Security of the Collective Security Treaty Organization and Interstate Council of the Euroasian Economic Community (EurAsEC) which were held at the high-level in Moscow. At the above mentioned sessions, basically, questions of maintenance of collective security and joint efforts on overcoming of world financial crisis have been discussed. Within the framework of the mentioned sessions President E.Rahmon met also with the President of the Russian Federation D. Medvedev.            During the meeting pressing questions of bilateral cooperation have been discussed. Heads of two states paid special attention on process acceleration of economic cooperation, in particular, building of infrastructural constructions, including Rogun HYDROELECTRIC POWER STATION and other hydropower objects. in course of negotiations parties also discussed questions of military and military-technical cooperation.            Heads of states reached an arrangement that the President of the Republic of Tajikistan E. Rahmon will pay a working visit to the Russian Federation in the second half of February. Dmitry Medvedev also offered the head of Tajikistan E. Rahmon to pay the state visit to the Russian Federation this year.
