PRESIDENT OF TAJIKISTAN MET WITH PRIME MINISTER OF BELGIUM

           Dushanbe, February, 11th. (Timur Bandishoev, Olga Saprykina, the NIAT "Khovar"). — Yesterday the official visit of the President of the Republic of Tajikistan Emomali Rahmon to Belgium started with E. Rahmon's meeting with the prime minister of Belgium Herman van Rompey. The meeting took place in Palace Egmont. During the meeting cooperation development issues of two countries in various spheres were discussed. Processing of aluminium, cotton, fruit, extraction of jewels, manufacture of building materials and tourism development were among priority directions of bilateral cooperation. The parties agreed that it is necessary to hold regularly forums of businessmen of two countries. Upon termination of negotiations a number of documents on cooperation between Tajikistan and Belgium were signed. In particular, the Agreement on attraction and protection of investments between the Government of the Republic of Tajikistan and Economic union Belgium-Luxembourg; Agreement about avoidance of double taxation and combating tax evasion on incomes and capital between the Government of RT and Government of Belgium; Memorandum of mutual understanding between the Ministries for Foreign Affairs of two countries were signed. About it the NIAT "Khovar" was informed in the press-service of the President of RТ.
