PRIME MINISTER OF THE COUNTRY VISITED NUREK HYDROELECTRIC POWER STATION
Dushanbe, February, 3rd. (Nargis Boyakhmedova, Olga Saprykina, the NIAT "Khovar"). — Yesterday the Prime minister of the country Akil Akilov visited Nurek Hydroelectric Power Station where familiarized with a course of its work. In course of his visit it has been revealed that at this moment only 3 of 9 units work because of the shortage of water. These operating units develop nearby 790 megawatts of electric power. 4 units are ready to start-up, 2 of them are on major repairs. Then in the building of Nurek Hydroelectric Power Station administration the staff session was held under the chairmanship of the Prime minister where heads of involved departments participated. Reports on today's condition of Hydroelectric Power Station including work and condition of units have been performed. The prime minister instructed responsible persons in short term to finish repair work on units and to prepare them for work. Also there was instruction to elaborate in the nearest terms the project on reconstruction and repair of Nurek Hydroelectric Power Station and to perform it to the Government of RT. Now local experts conjointly with their colleagues from abroad are engaged in repair of two units of Nurek Hydroelectric Power Station. About it the NIAT "Khovar" was informed in the press-service of the President of RТ.
