EMOMALI RAHMON RECEIVES MALAYSIAN AND CZECH AMBASSADORS

              Dushanbe, April 21. (NIAT "Khovar"). — On April 20, President Emomali Rahmon received the credentials of the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Malaysia to Tajikistan Abdulaziz Bin Harun.              During the conversation that followed the ceremony, Head of state Emomali Rahmon and Abdulaziz Bin Harun reviewed the issues of Tajik-Malaysian cooperation, the Presidential Press Service informed the "Khovar" news agency.              On expressing satisfaction with "the high level of confidence, goodwill and constructiveness", typical for the relations of supreme leaders of Tajikistan and Malaysia, President Emomali Rahmon reaffirmed the willingness to further broaden multi-facet ties with that country.              The necessity was stressed of strengthening and deepening economic, technical, technological, scientific, cultural and informational cooperation.               Among other fields of the cooperation, agriculture, tourism, construction of hydropower stations and establishment of joint ventures for manufacturing electric equipment and appliances, as well as cotton and silk fabrics were listed.              A fruitful conversation took place concerning the two countries' interaction within the frameworks of the Organization of Islamic Conference and other international organizations.              Abdulaziz Bin Harun conveyed to the President of Tajikistan Emomali Rahmon best wishes from the King and Prime Minister of Malaysia, together with their invitation to make a state visit to Malaysia.              Later that day, Head of state Emomali Rahmon received the credentials of the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Czech Republic to Tajikistan Robert Kapecky.              During the talk that followed the ceremony, the questions of implementing the contract and legal documents signed by the two countries and broadening the Tajik-Czech bilateral and multilateral relations were discussed.              Reminding of rich possibilities and reserves for the restoration of the once active Tajik-Czech ties, President Emomali Rahmon stressed that "the current level of cooperation between the two countries does not conform to existing opportunities".               The interlocutors listed among main fields of the mutually beneficial economic cooperation the participation in the construction of new hydropower stations and modernization of those now in operation in Tajikistan, as well as the establishment of joint ventures in industry.               Considerable attention was paid to the bilateral interaction within the frameworks of the EU, NATO and UN. A fruitful talk was held regarding the meeting of the EU Three with foreign ministers of Central Asian countries, due to be held this May in Dushanbe.
