Dushanbe, May 15. (NIAT "Khovar", Nargis Boyahmedova). — Five new low-capacity hydropower stations will be built in Tajikistan with the financial assistance of the Federal Republic of Germany by the end of this year. This was announced by the Tajik Minister of Economic Development and Trade Ghulomjon Bobozoda at a news conference held in Dushanbe after the signing of two Tajik-German inter-governmental agreements on financial and technical cooperation, respectively.               The first of those new energy facilities will be the ‘Oksu' low-capacity hydropower station in the Murghab district of the Mountainous Badakhshan Autonomous Region, the minister said.                "This is due to severe climatic conditions of that region. We should manage to finish all necessary works there during the summer season", Mr. Bobozoda elaborated. He added that similar hydropower stations will be also constructed in the Ayni district of the Sughd Region, in the Khatlon Region and in the Pamir.
