IMPROVING BUSINESS ENVIRONMENT IN TAJIKISTAN
Dushanbe, May 14. (NIAT "Khovar, Kristina Ehrlich). — "200 Days of Reforms" — such is the name of the program worked out by the State Committee for Investment and Managing State Property of Tajikistan with the aim of developing private sector and improving the investment climate in the country. In its elaboration representatives of business community and international organizations operating in this sphere also took part. The document is a program of short-term measures being undertaken by Tajikistan's Government with the aim of carrying out administrative and regulatory reforms, and developing private entrepreneurship. It is based on the priorities of the National Strategy of Development for the period through 2015 and pursues the accomplishment of tasks related to the reduction of poverty. One of the main goals is to eliminate administrative barriers which entrepreneurs are currently facing while trying to start their businesses and simplify procedures related to the state registration and licensing of entrepreneurial activities. The State Committee for Investment and Managing State Property established an independent working group to monitor the process of implementing the program.
