PROMOTING TRADE IN CENTRAL ASIA
Dushanbe, May 14. (NIAT "Khovar", Kristina Ehrlich). — The second stage of implementing a project for promoting regional trade in Central Asia started in Tajikistan. It is aimed at raising the level of export competitiveness of agricultural produce processing enterprises. The manufacturers will be advised on the questions concerning the design of their produce, quality and safety management, and marketing policies. The project will also help food processing enterprises in working out an export strategy and their integration into the Central Asian regional market. The subjects of state and private sectors will be given consultations regarding the development of their commercial and trade activities, as well as cooperation between them. Experts of the Agency for Marketing and Trade Regulation at Tajikistan's Ministry of Economic Development and Trade told the NIAT "Khovar" that international specialists were invited to help in the implementation of the project.
